LogiTrack: Last-Mile Fleet & Delivery Orchestration

LogiTrack is a robust, cross-platform mobile ecosystem designed to bridge the gap between the warehouse and the doorstep. Built for the high-pressure environment of field logistics, the app streamlines driver workflows, automates route tracking, and ensures that every parcel is accounted for—even in areas with zero cellular connectivity.

The Challenge

Logistics personnel operate in "unstable" environments where typical web-dependent apps fail. The client required a solution that could handle:

  • Fragmented Connectivity: Drivers often lose signal in remote areas or deep within warehouses.

  • Complex Fleet Coordination: Dispatchers needed to track hundreds of drivers in real-time without draining device batteries.

  • Proof of Delivery (PoD): A secure, digital way to capture signatures and photos that syncs instantly once the driver is back online.

The Solution (The Criyx Approach)

We engineered a high-reliability mobile application using Flutter for cross-platform performance, focusing on three core engineering pillars:

  1. Offline-First Architecture: Implemented a sophisticated local database sync (SQLite/Hive). Drivers can complete their entire route, scan barcodes, and capture signatures offline; the app automatically pushes data to the server the moment a connection is restored.

  2. Live GPS & Route Optimization: Integrated Google Maps SDK with background location tracking. We optimized the ping frequency to balance real-time accuracy for dispatchers with battery longevity for the driver.

  3. Real-Time Dispatching: Using WebSockets, we enabled "instant assignment." When a new order comes in, the nearest driver is notified immediately, reducing idle time and fuel consumption.

  4. Hardware Integration: Built-in barcode and QR code scanning modules for rapid inventory management at the point of delivery.

The Tech Stack

  • Mobile Framework: Flutter (iOS & Android)

  • Backend: Node.js / FastAPI

  • Real-time/Location: WebSockets, Google Maps Platform, Background Geolocation

  • Data Persistence: SQLite (Local) & PostgreSQL (Cloud)

The Impact

  • Zero Data Loss: 100% successful synchronization of offline deliveries.

  • Efficiency Gains: 20% improvement in daily delivery capacity through optimized route visibility.

  • User Adoption: Designed with a high-contrast, intuitive UI tailored for drivers using devices in bright sunlight or high-speed environments.
